Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love shopping small, family-owned grocers and farmers' markets. I usually prefer to purchase locally grown produce, with some exceptions to exotic and tropical fruit I just can't live without. A local market gem is Pleasant Hill Market. I can't speak highly enough of their friendly staff, and wonderful prices.Here's a tip. Mangos, 4 for a dollar! Can you believe it?
That was the price all week for Champagne Mangos 4/$1.00, which are truly my favorite. I just phoned the store, and found they are all sold out for today!
Not to worry, tomorrow's a new day, more mangos! If you like the other varieties of mangos, they are 2/$1.00 today. Avocados were 2/$1.00 the other day too!
