San Pablo Reservoir. Boat Rentals. Beauty In Our Own Backyard...

San Pablo Reservoir

The Bay Area is such a beautiful place with easy access to reservoirs and boat rides, simple enough for an afternoon adventure. This scenic park and reservoir is located only a few miles East of the quaint town of Orinda.

Have you ever visited San Pablo Reservoir?

CLICK HERE for EBMUD info on San Pablo Reservoir.

Boat Rental info is on a separate website:

CLICK HERE for boat rental info.

CLICK HERE for directions. We were pleasantly thrilled to find such a spectacular place, only minutes from home. A relaxing boat ride is a peaceful, perfect way to introduce little ones to the wonders of nature.

According to the park brochure, Seniors, POWs, and Disabled receive 50% off boat rental fee Monday thru Friday. A great incentive to take Grandma and Grandpa out for a boat ride with the little ones!

On the EBMUD website: SPECIAL: Rent a boat six times and receive a free 1/2 day weekday rental. Awesome!

This is a fantastic after school or weekday adventure! Hurry. The San Pablo Reservoir will close during the winter months. They're only open mid-February thru October. Don't look for us under any lemon trees, because we'll be making memories, boating, picnicking and having fun.

We also enjoy that San Pablo Dam Reservoir has a Cafe on premises. Even if only to buy a refreshing ice-cream, sandwich, or cup of coffee on a whim!

East Bay Regional Park District - Enjoy local Swimming, Parking, Admission all FREE this Friday and more...

One of our favorite swimming pools, is the beautiful Castle Rock Pool in Walnut Creek, California. Swimming fees are so nominal, open Thursdays thru Sundays all summer long. I'd pay much more for the peaceful park setting surrounded by beautiful Oak Trees, wildlife, and hiking trails. It's like a vacation every time we visit. FREE on the 3rd Fridays of each month.

Free 3rd Fridays - Free Park Days
Among other festivities, East Bay Regional Park District is celebrating its 80th birthday by offering Free 3rd Fridays in the parks.
Starting April 18, fees will be waived for a variety of park services every third Friday of each month for the rest of the year.
Free 3rd Friday Dates: June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19
On those Free 3rd Fridays, you won’t have to pay for the following:
  • Parking
  • Boat launching*
  • Entry for horses and dogs
  • Swimming fees
  • District fishing permits**
  • Entry to Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont
*Boat launchers will still have to pay for the required invasive mussel inspection.
**Anglers will still have to possess a California state fishing license, for which there’s a fee. And there will still be fees for camping and for group picnic reservations.
Free Fridays are the park district’s way of thanking the public for eighty years of support. A grass-roots movement provided the political momentum for establishment of the district back in 1934, and public support has been key to the district’s successes ever since.

Online Garage Sales - Shop & Sell Concord / Clayton / Walnut Creek, California...

A tip for my local friends. Something I've been having quite a bit of fun with lately...and making a few extra dollars selling accumulated household items, children's toys and clothing.

If you have a Facebook account and wish to join an exclusive (closed) group of over 1500 members, one of our area's BEST online garage sale shopping sites, I highly recommend:

The admin of the site, Jennifer is a pleasure to communicate with. She is responsive to message inquiries and does an exceptional job of keeping the site fresh and fun. (Can't be flakey or you'll get deleted quickly!)  Shop & Sell is free to join, by REFERRAL ONLY. You must reside or work in Concord, Clayton, Walnut Creek, or be willing to purchase in these cities. The most fantastic part about this unique site is they are currently accepting new members.

Join while you still can!

Sell something today. What about those golf clubs sitting in the closet or your child's gently used crib sheets? Toddler bikes just sitting in the garage collecting dust? Gently used soccer shoes? Ballet outfits? Pretty much anything is up for sale. It's easy. It's fun.

If you know me - For a PERSONAL REFERRAL to join, please send an email or Facebook message.

or

Have a great weekend.
