Donate Fruit. Feed a Family in Need. Free Pick-Up and Delivery...

“Motherhood has completely changed me. It's just about like the most completely humbling experience that I've ever had. I think that it puts you in your place because it really forces you to address the issues that you claim to believe in and if you can't stand up to those principles when you're raising a child, forget it.” Diane Keaton

Issues I believe in:
Fruit to food banks. SHARE FRUIT TODAY! Random Acts of Kindness. All children deserve fresh apples, oranges, lemons at their breakfast table. Won't you please help The Lemon Lady save our world one little lemon, orange and apple at a time?

Random Acts of Kindness In Action:
One Lemon Lady Letter at a time. One person. One tree. It all begins somewhere. Drop a flier at the first fruit tree you see. You don't even have to cut the fruit - VOLUNTEERS are needed daily for various outreach tasks. Find me on Facebook, or Google. Please...just share some good news today! Our children need you. Citrus fruit is ripe - right now all over the Bay Area and beyond.
Email The Lemon Lady: AnnaAndAva@gmail.com

Volunteer Opportunities! Let's get involved. The solution to hunger is growing on trees right now.

Where is my Milk from? Save some moola with this fun site.

Many store brands of (organic and non-organic) milk are actually the very same milk from name-brand dairies.

Do you pay $5.00 a gallon for the very same milk that sells side by side for half as much? (I don't, anymore!) Find out the source of the milk you are purchasing. Have fun looking up Trader Joe's, Safeway, Lucky, Smiths, Kroeger, Walmart, Raley's, NobHill, Sam's Club and other grocery store milk to find out what pricier product is really being sold under their store label!

Have fun. Save some moola.

Home Composting. FREE Workshops in 2012. So easy, even Oscar The Grouch can do it...

The best way to amend poor soil is to start your very own garden compost! Toss nutrient rich kitchen scraps into the compost pile, instead of into the garbage can. Be kind to Mother Earth, and reduce waste. The Environmental Protection Agency has great composting information on their website.

There are many Bay Area Workshops on how easy home composting really is. Even if you live in an apartment, a small worm box can do the job! What do you do when you walk on by a fruit tree? Any ONE of us can do this...

CLICK on the flyer for a larger image.

How can we alleviate hunger if we don't even try? (And, end urban fruit waste at the very same time!) Any ONE of us. Any Town, USA - or any part of the world - for that matter, can make an impact in the lives of those less fortunate. From the doorsteps of fruit tree owners...to the doorsteps of need.

"Knock. Knock. Hello. My name is Anna and I see that you have a fruit tree. By any chance do you use all of the fruit for your own family, or would you be interested in sharing a bit with a local food pantry?"

That's all I do. (Well, I've knocked on thousands of fruit tree doors.) Yet, it truly is that simple. What are you waiting for? Fruit is ripe right now! Every city has an edible urban harvest. Is it apples, peaches, peanuts, walnuts, chestnuts, pecans, cherries, oranges, lemons, tangerines, grapefruit, avocados, apricots, loquats, pineapple, passion fruit? It is a passion! Happy Thoughts. Happy Harvesting.

I am also available for public speaking at social and civic groups, offices, churches, faith groups, schools, preschools, senior clubs, service organizations, etc. to inspire other individuals who wish to help alleviate hunger and inspire others. Thank you!
