Isn't a Million Dollars for our schools worth 5 minutes of your time?

More than $1 Million in computers, technology and cash will be awarded to schools this year in the Samsung Four Seasons of Hope Education Nationwide Contest.Wouldn't it be nice to see a few Bay Area schools share in the more than $1 million in prizes of Samsung products, Microsoft software, Best Buy Gift Cards, and cash grants from DirecTV?

Mount Diablo Unified School District students and parents - are we up to the task?

To enter, or to learn more about the Samsung Four Seasons of Hope Education Contest, visit: www.fourseasonsofhope.com/education.

Anyone in the community - students (K-12), teachers, parents and local residents - can submit a 100-word essay (in English or Spanish) on how the consumer electronics, computer equipment and software awarded through Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope could benefit their school.

Entry Deadline is December 1, 2009. Do good. Have fun!

  1. unfortunately as evidenced by the last thing you posted about the schools (money to a favorite teacher), most around here would rather complain and rant than actually do anything good.

  2. Tend to agree, unless I see otherwise. Sad though, isn't it?

  3. It is incredibly sad... now everyone is complaining about the new Superintendent.. and I bet not one of the complainers went to a meeting about it :(

  4. Write an essay. Get lost in a 100 words. You never know, yours may be the winning essay. Ava won the Whole Grains Contest I blogged about last month. Now, every week we receive a few packages of food in the mail. Its kind of fun. UPS packages of Oatmeal, whole grain pretzels, cereal, crackers, actually some really neat food. Little gifts arriving are fun - and worth money. Probably a few hundred dollars in all! :)
