ABC7 News - Dire Need at Local Food Pantries...

The holidays are fast approaching and I encourage our community to remember that low-income residents DEPEND on food pantries within their own neighborhoods. I support the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and many area food pantries.

It is nice to spread the joy around, especially when poverty and unemployment is county wide, not to forget the hungry children on all the streets in Concord, Clayton and beyond.

  1. I did not know that Share or Salvation Army are food pantrys. Thank you for listing them here. My social networking group can donate Turkeys to both of them. I even have friends that work in Concord that didn't even know about any of these three pantrys. They must serve thousands of needy families. How wonderful to know.

  2. Most churches have small food pantries. The Salvation Army Church on Clayton in Concord, is one of the bigger ones.

  3. Anna I've been reading your blog for a few months. You picked up oranges at my house earlier this year. I just want to say how I admire you and you are shining in God's light. I have read that you are tired and hope that others will help you soon. You deserve some help. You do so much all alone for everyone else.
