Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site in Danville, CA - FREE.
Saturdays Without Reservations.
Access to the site is by National Park Shuttle only.
In 1936, Eugene O'Neill was the first American playwright to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The park is closed to visitors Monday through Thursday. Guided tours are only available on Fridays and Sundays at 10 AM & 2 PM. Reservations are required for guided tours of the site. 
Self-guided tours are offered on "Saturdays Without Reservations" at 10:15 AM, 12:15 PM and 2:15 PM.


As an added bonus, there are special FREE days at gardens, Regional Parks, Swimming Pools, Museums not normally advertised:

San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum (located at Golden Gate Park) - FREE Admission SECOND Tuesday of the month, general public

FREE Museum Passes. Every Day Use. Discover and Go. Have fun!


The Contra Costa County Library launched a wonderful new program offering free museum passes to many Bay Area Museums. Check it out. Tickets are easily reserved and printed from your own computer.

Wednesday, we're excited to see a Magic Show at the Antioch Library. Saturday, we're visiting the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley. All free. All compliments of the Library. Great things happen at the Library. Don't miss the fun!

Visit www.ccclib.org. Click on the "search events" tab to find upcoming magic shows, puppet shows, story times and many other fun events for children. Your calendar can be full each and every day. Lots of happy children.

Donate Fruit to feed the hungry. Have you picked any fruit lately? Have you made friends with a neighbor? March is bursting full of sweet, tree-ripened oranges, tangerines, pomelos, grapefruit, lemons, limes, and so much more. Have you looked to see what is growing on your neighbor's tree? It only takes a minute. Tell ten people today! Fruit matters.

I'll help with a flier requesting fresh fruit donations to feed the hungry. Join the fun! Call for free pick-up and delivery to a nearby food pantry. Call for harvesting help.

Sunday Farmers' Market and a Museum...


Sunday is a perfect day to visit an outdoor Farmers' Market. Rain or shine, year round, we are fortunate to have so many fresh shopping opportunities in California. Visit California-Grown Certified Farmers' Markets website to find a Farmers' Market near you, almost every day of every week. A market we really enjoy is located Sundays on Locust Street in Walnut Creek, California. Open Year-Round until 1pm.

For a bit of afternoon museum fun, there is often a FREE MUSEUM DAY located in a town near you. This particular Sunday, The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California offers free admission - (Second Sunday of every month.) Have fun. Be inspired.
