We did this last year. Loaded up the car with children dressed as pirates. Kids love a good surprise, they thought it was an early Halloween. Each person can receive a dozen donuts for free. Simple as that.
If you don't "dress like a pirate", only talk like a pirate and you'll receive a single donut for free. Krispy Kreme makes it quite easy to dress like a pirate. Printable props on their website.
