American Graffiti is among the best movies ever made.
ReplyDeleteIt was filmed in the Bay Area, including a scene at Concord's own Buchanan Airfield. It was a sleeper (a low-budget film that went huge).
The TV-show "Happy Days" is loosely based on the camaraderie from American Graffiti, and don't forget all the Happy-Days spin-offs: Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Blansky's Beauties, Out of the Blue, and Joanie Loves Chachi. Technically, Happy-Days was a spin-off from: "Love, American Style", but, IMHO, it all started with American Graffiti.
