In serving Contra Costa County's most needy, I shall participate in the Pleasant Hill Community Service Day by collecting produce donations at the Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market on Saturday, September 26th.

All produce donations received that day will be delivered to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, 4010 Nelson Avenue, Concord, CA 94520 (925) 676-7543.

Thank you Contra Costa Certified Farmers' Markets and the generous farmers of the Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market. Your weekly donations to feed Contra Costa County's most needy are greatly appreciated!

  1. The produce is so important to the Food Bank and the people we serve. Anna and others like her are making a huge difference in the live of people we need. At a senior brown bag distribution earlier in the month, one client told me that she used to plant her own veggies but now that she is in a senior housing complex she can't and the fresh produce that she receives at the distributions is that much more important to her. Thank you Anna. Good luck next weekend! ~Lisa
